The Arable Group - Training
	The Arable Group (TAG) has a long history of delivering high quality training to farmers and other commercial businesses. Training courses are usually both BASIS and NRoSO CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points accredited. TAG National Training: every spring TAG run a series of national half day training events. These courses usually run as two half-day sessions back to back (ie one topic in the morning and one in the afternoon). In 2008 the cost of these courses started from as little as £70 per half-day course. All events are open to TAG members and non-members alike. Topics covered in the training programme for the 2008 season were - Fertiliser management in combinable crops Rotational approaches to cropping Conservation and pollution for farm operators Getting the best from your crop sprayer Cereal diseases; changing conditions, updating practices TAG Professional Development Training: this training package enables farmers to attend a suite of meetings over the winter and spring months which can accrue a full complement of both BASIS and NRoSO CPD points. Each day long meeting looks to focus on a different topic so attendees receive a broad balance of training and CPD points. The courses are held at two venues in East Anglia and the project is supported through The Felix Thornley Cobbold Trust and The Chadacre Agricultural Trust. The next meetings of these groups are on the 8th and 15th of May. Bespoke Training: TAG also offers the option of bespoke courses suited to the specific needs of customers. Previous courses have typically covered aspects of arable training and planning. Further details are available on request.
