Members of TAG are totally informed of all agronomic developments in their region, by the comprehensive service provided by The Arable Group.
Regular notifications via email
TAG Membership includes:
  • Updates - regular reminders of what's happening in the field and what action members should be taking where necessary.
  • Strategy Documents - the overall agronomy strategies for the season, for all inputs on all crops, based on recent trials results. Strategies are then updated in 'Updates' as the season progresses.
  • New Product Guides - all of TAG's independent trial data on new products collected in the years before their introduction, and TAG's view of the product, published when the product hits the market.
  • Bulletins - the science behind the agronomy. Published quarterly, the Bulletin goes into specific topics in depth, looking at the latest research behind the TAG advisory services.
  • 24 Hour Variety Trial Results - local variety trial yield results, published very soon after harvest.
  • Unlimited telephone access - for further discussion and advice with TAG agronomists.
  • Variety Pocket Book - a comprehensive guide to variety choice from TAG's extensive database of wheat, barley and oilseed rape variety trials.
  • SMS Texting - text alerts for meetings and critical developments in pest and disease problems in the field.
  • Winter Cereal Trial Results - all the trial results from the Region, analysed and discussed.
  • Spring Cereal and Break Crop Trial Results
  • Herbicide and Fungicide Indexes - handy reference lists of products available, listed by active ingredient.
  • Conferences - where trials results are presented to Members by TAG senior staff.
  • Field Days - regular meetings at the trial sites to view what's happening to the crops and treatments applied, and discuss action points for Members' crops.
  • Information via Internet and Email - TAG information is available more quickly via email or by visiting the website.
Members can also subscribe to a Mechanisation Update, covering all aspects of farm mechanisation from grain drying and storage to optimum tractor usage. Also available to Members is an on-farm advisory service through TAG Consulting.

TAG runs regular courses on specific topics such as:

  • Conservation and pollution for farm operators

  • Cereal diseases; changing conditions, updating practices
 TAG Field Days
